# Azure

> A Microsoft Azure subscription so Myrmex can review your cloud resources and posture alongside the rest of your environment.

Connect a Microsoft **Azure** subscription so Myrmex can review your cloud resources and posture alongside the rest of your environment.

## What Myrmex Can Do

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Cloud inventory" icon="list-check">
    What the subscription holds, read live.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Posture review" icon="gauge">
    Configuration audited against your frameworks.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Before You Start

* An Entra ID **service principal** with read access to the subscription — its role assignment bounds what the agents can see.
* A **Collector** that can reach it.

<Tip>
  Scope the credential to what Myrmex should reach. A narrower one still connects — it just leaves the agents with less reach.
</Tip>

## Add the Integration in Myrmex

From the **Directory**, choose **Add Integration → Azure**, then fill in:

| Field | Description |
| - | - |
| **Name** | A unique name for this instance. |
| **Description** | Optional note to identify it. |
| **Region** | The Azure region, `eastus` by default. |
| **Subscription ID** | The subscription's GUID. |
| **Subscription Name** | A name to identify the subscription. |
| **Tenant ID** | The Entra ID tenant's GUID. |
| **Client ID** | The application (service principal) GUID. |
| **Client Secret** | The service principal's secret. |
| **Collector** | The [Collector](/documentation/agent-endpoint-security/collector-mode) that reaches it. |

<Note>
  The integration is tied to the **context** you have selected when you create it.
</Note>

## Connect

Click **Connect** to validate and finish. It then appears in the **Directory**. New to integrations? See the [Integrations overview](/documentation/integrations/overview).
