Understanding Tokens

Tokens are the fundamental unit of consumption in the MYRMEX platform. Think of them like data usage on a mobile plan: you have a monthly allowance, and you can monitor your consumption in real-time.

Token Accounting

One of the unique features of MYRMEX’s billing is its simplified accounting:
Input + Output = Total Value
We treat input (your prompts and context) and output (AI responses) as a single consolidated value. There are no complex multipliers—what you use is what is counted.

Allowance per Plan

Each license contributes to your organization’s total token pool (except for the Personal plan):
PlanToken AllowanceUser LimitSharing
Personal20M Tokens / month1 UserIndividual
Business20M Tokens / user / monthUnlimitedShared with Organization
Enterprise20M Tokens / user / monthUnlimitedShared with Organization
Example (Business Plan):
If your organization has 5 users, your total pool is 100M tokens per month (5 users × 20M tokens). Any user can consume from this pool until the limit is reached.

Quick Guide: Track Your Costs in 5 Minutes

🚀 Quick Access

  1. Open the Myrmex platform
  2. Click on the “Billing” tab
  3. That’s it! You will see all cost and usage information.

📊 What You See on Screen

Metrics Cards

  • TOKENS: Displays your included tokens vs. used tokens (e.g., 2.5M / 10M).
  • MY USAGE: Shows your individual consumption and cost limit progress.
  • ORGANIZATION: (Business/Enterprise only) Shows the total usage and limit for the entire company.

Usage Table

Track exactly who is using tokens and when. You can filter by period (last 7 days, 30 days, etc.) and by specific users.

💡 Understand in 30 Seconds

What are tokens?

Tokens = platform usage units. Analogy: Like mobile data MBs. You have a monthly quota; if you exceed it, you can opt for additional packages.

Usage beyond limits

If you reach your monthly quota, you can continue using the platform by purchasing Additional Token Packages. Each package adds more capacity to your individual or shared pool.

⚡ 3 Essential Actions

1️⃣ Set Your Personal Limit

Navigate to My Usage → Click [Cost Limit] → Enter your desired amount → [Save]. Why? Prevents unexpected billing surprises.

2️⃣ Monitor Weekly

Every Monday, check the Billing tab to compare your current usage with your limit and adjust if necessary.

3️⃣ Use Filters

Use the Usage Table filters to identify consumption patterns and optimize your workflows.

🎯 Common Scenarios

  • “Used more than expected”: Check the usage table for the last 30 days to identify high-consumption days or specific tasks.
  • “Avoid extra costs”: Set your limit to $0 (or the minimum). You will never be charged for extras, but the service will pause when your included tokens run out.
  • “Admin control”: Set an organization-wide limit and use user filters to guide team members with high consumption.

🔄 Resets and Cycles

Usage resets on the 15th of each month (typical):
  • Included Tokens: Reset to the maximum allowance.
  • Spending Counter: Resets to zero.
  • Additional Packages: Remain available until consumed or expired (depending on terms).
  • Configured Limits: Do not change; they persist across cycles.
